Education/Training

In-State tuition (or equivalently priced) is provided for college classes or work-related training that Altus management deems to be of value to your current job description, or any job description that would be beneficial to both the employee and the company. Altus supports employees having hobbies and interests outside of work. Full-time employees may ask for assistance in paying for activities that improve their lives. Higher education and training are strongly encouraged and supported by Altus, but not all tuition provides the necessary value. We cannot pay full tuition for Ivy League degrees, for example, but we could contribute a fair portion if you choose this route.

Other tuition reimbursement (quality of life, hobbies, etc. classes/training) will be considered on a case-by-case basis, but is neither expressly approved nor denied.

Employee Programs

Altus offers two Employee Referral Bonus Options.

Referrals are valued immensely and has been the lion’s share of Altus’ growth. The referral bonus options in place to show our appreciation for helping steer highly qualified new employees onboard:

  • Option 1: Referral bonus is determined by the seniority of the candidate and can range from $4,000 (for a beginner) to $8,000 (for a SME) for a full-time employee, and sometimes up to $10,000 for new referrals in special situations.
  • Option 2: This option is an additional “hourly” rate and is based on the number of hours that the referring employee works and bills to a contract or approved OH hours.  Referring employees will receive $2.50 for every hour they work, whether billable or approved overhead.

Annual Directorate Star Employee Award:

Altus employees are chosen each year by their director that have gone above and beyond their normal day to day operations to support the Customer, Prime, Altus, and/or Mission. Altus would like to recognize and thank these employees by inviting the employee and one guest to an Altus sponsored dinner. In addition to being recognized during the dinner. One Altus high performer per Directorate will be recognized annually at the corporate Christmas party for their work going above and beyond the previous year and invited (with a guest) to an appreciation dinner in honor of all Directorate Star Employees.

Altus College Entry Scholarship (ACCESS) Program:

Altus intends to further support our employees with an Altus Consulting College Entry Scholarship Support (ACCESS) Program.  The intention of this program is to help an up-and-coming child or legal ward of an Altus employee who would like to apply for employment with Altus upon college graduation achieve their goals of a college degree within a field pertinent to Altus core business, as well as help our customers and nation meet their critical technical workforce demands.
